New winery/importer for me – Down Under Cellars – offers an inexpensive Shiraz from South Eastern Australia.
Vineyard: Down Under Cellars
Appellation: South Eastern Australia
Notes: Pretty straightforward and simple. Strawberry fruit on the palate with tea (yes, as in “I’ll have a spot of ….”) in the background that lingers into the finish. I like it for the price. For me, it drank more like a Pinot Noir than a Shiraz.
