Notes: Interesting for an inexpensive Merlot. Initially presented mostly cola and some dark berry flavors. With oxidation I tasted blackberry and plum with violet notes. Tannins are light but definitely there providing a solid chlorophyll bite on the finish. Label claims ripe cherry as the predominant fruit flavor, but if it’s ripe cherry then it’s dark cherry that’s so ripe it’s just about to rot off the tree. That’s my opinion, of course.
